Description

Kintsugi, meaning Golden Joinery, is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery using golden lacquer.  Kintsugi celebrates the damage, chips and breaks as part of the object’s life.

This workshop will teach you a way of replicating the traditional Japanese art of Kintsugi, in which broken items are repaired with golden lacquer.   Participants will be given a small broken bowl which they will repair using the Kintsugi do it yourself method devised by Neon Patina.  This method is easy to replicate at home using accessible materials.

Each participant will walk away with a finished bowl.

Suitable for participants 12+.  This workshop uses broken pottery which may be sharp and requires patience. Participants under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult and both must purchase a ticket.

Please note, the number of tickets that you can choose from to purchase reflects the number of total tickets still available, if you cannot select multiple tickets it means there is only 1 ticket/space left in this workshop
